Location: McLean, VA
Duration: 6+ months 


Responsible for the overall success of a wide range of projects of varying levels of complexity. 
Accountable for project initiation and planning, and for overseeing development, testing, implementation, and closeout. 
Responsible for initial project planning efforts (e.g., developing project scope, defining project guidelines, obtaining business and IT sponsor approvals, coordinating resources necessary to successfully complete the project). 
Communicates major milestones, identifies potential project risks, provides continuing direction to project team, and conducts regular status meetings to review project activities. 
Responsible for prioritizing procedures for changing scope and project acceptance procedures. 
Obtains feedback to assure that project efforts meet customer expectations for agreed upon schedule, cost and objectives. 


Job Requirements: • This is a SharePoint Technical Change Manager position 
• Gather requirements and gain insight into business objectives, then collaborate with developer on the development of site/page/feature design for SP-based business solutions; monitor/support Power Users as owners of content and business process 
• Create site templates with custom libraries and lists and support customizations to SharePoint sites, lists, libraries and web parts that increase the efficiency and functionality of business procedures and meet the needs of all units 
• Manage column configurations, views, term store functionality— including Concept Searching auto-classification support—and content types; implement and maintain permissions to SP sites, lists and libraries on both the intranet and extranet when appropriate/required 
• Design and implement workflows, forms and form solutions using SharePoint Designer and/or InfoPath to automate simple information management and business processes 
• 8-10 years minimum experience in IT including a minimum of 6 years as a SharePoint implementation and roll-out (Strong knowledge of and proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint 2010, Microsoft SharePoint Designer, SharePoint InfoPath 2010) 
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Planview experience preferred 
• Must have SharePoint adoption and roll-out via end user training experience (SharePoint Information governance and Record center experience preferred) 
• Expertise in communication management, change (technical and behavior) management, risk and issue management. 
• Automated SharePoint Information Governance and Compliance tool implementation experience 
• Under the guidance of a program manager, implements and executes processes used for program and project management; ensures project management methodologies and development lifecycles are incorporated into the tools and techniques used in the program. 
• Provide assistance to program manager by developing and preparing management reports, tracking program financials (actual / estimates, external charges) monitoring timesheets, identifying and tracking issues, organizing meetings, documenting minutes of meetings, and so on. 
• Sets up and maintains SharePoint and other tools used to manage the projects; updates and maintains project documentation and reference materials. 
• Ability to recognize issues and works towards identifying alternatives; understands implications of issues and escalates via the approved escalation path as appropriate and necessary.
