Position:  Business Objects Developer

Location: Chesterbrook PA

Duration: 6 Months Contracts

Position Summary: The Business Objects Developer is responsible for facilitating the development, maintenance and enhancement of BO Reports in support of the Care Management Implementation teams. This requires an understanding in the areas of Business Objects, and Enterprise Data Warehousing.

This position is responsible for the design and delivery of user-defined Enterprise Reporting solutions that will ultimately include dashboards and scorecards. Under the guidance of management, this individual will collaborate with internal customers, staff members, Reporting SME and other stakeholders to define strategies and tactics to achieve business reporting needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

•    Assess business information needs by working closely with the business analysts to prepare reporting requirements, functional designs and deliver reporting solutions.

•    Be able to elicit requirements, assess and document reporting requirements

•    Understands all components of Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3 Enterprise to provide an integrated reporting solution set.

•    Take a hands-on approach as it relates to the design, development and implementation of BO reports.

•    Confirm that reports meet documented requirements; facilitates issue resolution during testing process.

•    Be involved with deploying reports and possible assistance in training BA community.

•    Supporting user questions and issues; takes ownership of resolution

Skills and Qualification:

•    3 years of analytical experience with very large, complex large data warehousing and relational database management systems environments

•    3 years experience working with analysts and business users to develop technical requirements for reports

•    2 years experience writing complex queries utilizing either Oracle PL SQL or Transact SQL.

•    2 years experience developing, testing and implementing reports with Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3 Web Intelligence.

•    This position requires skills creating reports with multiple complex queries, merged dimensions, report variables with extended syntax, complex formatting, graphs and crosstabs and drill down capabilities.

•    May require: creating derived tables and working with linked universes, universe contexts and aggregate navigation.

•    Experience with utilizing InfoView for organizing and scheduling and distributing reports.

•    Experience with Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3 Administration including Security Implementation, Central Management Console, Central Configuration Manager and the Import Wizard. (Lifecycle Manager is a plus)
