MUST HAVES:

·         Combined business analysis and OLAP/Relational Database technical background, a proven record of accomplishment, and a minimum 8 years of workplace experience

·         Ability to facilitate user requirements working sessions

·         Understanding of the development and documentation of user requirements

·         Strong oral and written communication skills

·         Capable of performing in-depth analytical reviews of certain business processes, independently or within teams of end user staff and other specialists in the information technology and finance domains, with emphasis upon information flows and management reporting

·         Experience synthesizing the analysis work with the characteristics of the existing data warehouse (internally defined as the "Operational Data Store") and Reporting infrastructure, to derive the appropriate technical approach for data storage, mining and dissemination. 

·         Implement the technical solution, within a well-coordinated quality assurance environment, to amend the existing Business Intelligence and Reporting systems or create new functionalities, with emphasis upon doing this correctly the first time.  

·         Excellent understanding of the Business Intelligence solutions, Cognos OLAP tool, particularly of Cognos Series 8 (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Query studio, Event Studio, Analysis Studio, and Connection). 

·         Strong background in designing tables and views in relational databases

·         Proficient in PL/SQL

·         Knowledge of Oracle databases

·         In-depth theoretical understanding and practical expertise with regards to Business Intelligence, data warehousing

·         Min. 6 years of hands-on data warehousing expertise covering all aspects of software project life-cycle, i.e. business and data modeling, data analysis, system design, development, etc. 

·         Investment Banking, Financial background or exposure to a Credit and Market Risks environment

·         Experience in working with the large-scale (100+ entities) relational data models 

·         Thorough understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniques 

·         Min. 6 years of hands-on expertise with Oracle database in querying and analyzing data

·         Familiarity with data modeling tolls such as ERWIN (3.5 and 4.1) 

·         Familiarity with various process modeling techniques (activity hierarchy diagrams, data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, workflow diagrams, system interface diagrams) 

·         Excellent communication and facilitation skills 

·         Excellent understanding of any Business Intelligence tool and analytics tool  Understanding of MATLAB functions 

·         This position requires flexibility, creativity and initiative.  Candidates should be self-starters who enjoy working with an international team of people.  Candidates must be able to multi-task their workload assignments. 

·         Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English, have strong writing and communication skills, and be team players.
