Position: Pentaho BI developer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6+ Month

Interview: Phone and face to face

This is for a Pentaho BI developer.

Skills:
- 3+ years experience working with the Pentaho BI Suite (minimum PDI and Report Designer)
- Hands on experience building a BI/Analytic system using the Pentaho BI Suite
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, terminology, and architecture
- Excellent ETL, SQL and database design and development experience
- Experience installing, developing and administering BI technologies (reporting, metadata, OLAP)
- Linux shell scripting

Education/Experience
o Associates degree in computer programming or relevant field required. Bachelor degree preferred
o 5-7 years experience required

Responsibility level
o Exercises independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills
o Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)
o Ability to work independently and manage one's time (Required)
o Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback (Required)
o Knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling (Required)
o Knowledge of computer software, such as MySQL, SQL, Visual Basic, Oracle, etc (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
o Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications
o Modify existing databases and database management systems
o Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations
o Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system
o Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project
