Responsibilities

The Sr. Platform Services Developer position is responsible for the development of cross-platform tools and services for internal Client's enterprise cloud customers.  The role involves the design and implementation of platform solutions that enterprise customers will leverage to facilitate seamless access to cloud resources, both internal and external (i.e. hybrid-cloud).  Platform solutions include services ranging from multi-language API wrappers and CLI tools to packaging infrastructure offerings in ways that simplify the adoption of higher-order computing abstraction (i.e. Big Data, distributed computing frameworks, etc.)

The position requires a strong background in application solutions and business architectures, a good knowledge of cloud infrastructure and a solid understanding of leading IT technologies (i.e. software-defined storage/networking, etc.) The candidate should have extensive application development knowledge, and demonstrate expertise across a range of computing technologies. They should be able to sympathize with, and be keen to improve upon, our users' experience.

         Requirements 

     Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

·        At least 5+ yrs. developing in C#

o   .Net framework v4.5

o   Full understanding of events/delegates

o   Parallel Programming in C#

o   Multi-Threading using async & await

o   Unit tests using xUnit, MS Test, or NUnit

·        At least 3+ yrs. experience with the following:

o   o  Agile development methodologies including Scrum and Test Driven Development

o   Continuous integration/delivery

o   Developing tools against RESTful APIs

o   Amazon AWS APIs (EC2, S3) development

o   Xamarin/Mono cross-platform development

o   MS PowerShell

o   HTML 5 UI GUI development (optional)

o   jQuery, CSS and JavaScript (Optional) 

·        Other languages

o   Java JVM (Scala, Groovy, and etc…)

o   Python

o   Ruby

·        OS experience

o   Windows 7, 8.x

o   Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2

o   Mac OS X

·         Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS)
