Job Description:This is our direct-client opening for a Sr. QA Automation Engineer located in Columbus, GA. This is a 3-6+ month contract-to-hire position and the hourly rate and salary range DOE. Our clients prefers local candidates to the area but will consider non-local candidates (no relocation assistance is available).
The Sr. QA Automation Engineer works with the test automation staff on contributing solutions to the test automation framework to ensure it meets current and future requirements. The Sr. QA Automation Engineer works with Scrum teams and test automation staff on designing, developing and implementing solid regression test suites to ensure automation standards and best practices are applied. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining all automation scripts, and libraries. QA testing responsibilities include the delivery of planned automated regression test execution, analysis and reports during production release test cycles. The Sr. QA Automation Engineer also participates in delivering formal training, developing process and procedures, and offering regression planning guidance to project staff.
Responsibilities:
Building out an automated test suites to cover regression (functional tests).
Good understanding of relational databases and SQL querying tools.
Strong Analytical design and problem solving skills.
Collaborate with development team to understand how development changes affect ongoing automation efforts. Providing test coverage analysis based on automation results.
Performs test analysis on complex project requirements.
Responsible for resolving complex issues identified in testing.
Designs contingency plans as needed.
Coordinates with technical and business resources to identify and correct system defects discovered during the testing activity.
Performs risk analyses requirements for integrated testing.
Demonstrates a broad knowledge of the multiple environments.
Understanding of structured analysis and design as it relates to the test design.
Recognizes the inter-relationships between the various functional components of the system and the business, technical and project requirements in order to determine the appropriate testing methodology to use during test execution and validation.
Education/Experience:
Four year college degree and 4 or more year's professional experience with QA automation or scripting or 6 or more years professional experience with QA automation experience is required.
VB scripting is also required
