Required Linux Engineer in CA

Skills:
• 7+ years of working experience working with IT enterprise physical & virtualization environments.
• Solid knowledge of system management and methodologies specifically related to virtualization, server operating systems, networking, distributed computing environment and systems security.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux OS. Ability to monitor, manage and troubleshoot both physical and virtual machines with native or third party Linux tools.
• Proficiency in one of the scripting languages (shell, PowerShell, Perl, Ruby, Python) and common knowledge of Object Oriented coding skills to automate processes.
• Thorough understanding of server and network protocols and technologies e.g. DNS, DHCP, VLAN, TCP/IP, NTP and such
• Experience managing, configuring, Windows desktop and server operating systems; experience with Active Directory is a plus.
• Working knowledge of SQL language and experience with supporting at least one kind of RDBMS (MySQL, MsSQL, Oracle)
• General knowledge of storage concepts in relation to virtualized environments. Preferable experience with one of storage platforms e.g. NetAPP, EMC
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as EC2, CloudStack, vCloudDirector, OpenStack, a plus
