Job Description:
Must be proficient in Python with 5-6 proven years of experience.
We are seeking a Senior Python who is highly motivated, dedicated, innovative, and has a track record of taking initiative.
This individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced Agile environment, writing clean and solid code, working cooperatively with a multi-functional team, teaching and advising other engineers, participating in the design process with Product Managers, and assessing alternative solutions to problems.
This individual will be a critical member of a small engineering team developing a highly scalable hosted high-transaction web application.
Responsibilities include:
Pickup development of existing Software as a Service (SaaS) product written with technologies: Java Script and Sencha, Python, Tornado, memcached and mySQL.
Assisting in the overall architecture and design of the web UI and business logic for a SaaS based product.
Interacting with other team members and product managers on the direction of the product.
Interacting with the sales and consulting teams where appropriate to help win new customers and make existing customers successful with the software.
Requirements:
Must have 5+ years of experience developing modern complex Web UI's.
Deep experience with Python, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, jQuery and Sencha / Sencha Touch as used in the construction of rich, dynamic websites.
Experience with MySQL, and memcached
Experience with Tornado, XML/XSD, SOAP and REST based web services are highly desirable.
Experience in the Workforce Management / HR software space considered a plus.
Familiarity and/or experience with the following is a plus: Amazon Web Services, Chef / Puppet.
Must have served as a Technical Lead on Web UI Development projects.
Must have experience working in an Agile environment.
BSCS or equivalent highly desirable
