Job Title: ETL Developer
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 1+ year contract
Max rate: $35/hr
Job description
- Work closely with Solution Architect, Data Modeller, Data Mapper, Business Analysts to understand business requirements, providing expert knowledge and solutions on
- Performing problem assessment, resolution and documentation in existing ETL packages, mapping and workflows in production
- Modifying existing OWB code to provide defect fixes for existing ETLs
- Evaluate and design data collection, data staging, data movement, analytics delivery, data quality and archiving strategies
- Lead and guide the ETL developers in data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
- Identify opportunities to optimize the ETL environment, implement monitoring, quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Provides end-users supports including business queries and requests
Requirement
- 4-8 years IT experience, with both hands-on and lead experience in providing data warehousing solutions
- Technically strong in ETL concept, design and development using ETL tools
- Ability to lead a team of ETL developers to meet project objectives, tracking of status and reviewing deliverables at every stage of the SDLC
- Ability to identify required tasks and accurately determine needed resources and timeframes to complete a project and enhancements
- Telecom domain knowledge is added advantage
- Preferred technical skills:
- ETL Tools: Datastage 7.5
- Databases & Utilities: NCR Teradata & utilities, Oracle 8i/9i/10g, PL/SQL, SQL Loader
- Platforms: NCR/AIX Unix and shell scripting
- Interface Tools: Connect Direct, DB2 Connect
- Jobs Schedulers (preferably Control-M)
- A self-motivated personality, and able to work efficiently by himself/herself, as well as, in a team
