Position Responsibilities:
· Build SAS datasets from clinical database.
· Develop SAS macros, templates and utilities for data cleaning and reporting.
· Utilize SDTM guidelines to build datasets.
· Communicate with an internal team to create deliverables for drug development clients.
· Implement analyses specified in the protocol or the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP) while working with the project statistician.
· Write SAS programs to generate tables, listings, and figures and analysis datasets.
· Review CRF annotations and data specifications.
· Identify and edit checks per the data validation plan or data management plan.
· Study management reports using SAS.
· Validate the programmed analysis datasets, tables, listing and figures.
· Perform analyses defined in the statistical analysis.
· Prepare clinical and statistical summary reports.
· Communicate with programming and statistics leads.
· Develop SAS coding and table templates for preparing, processing and analyzing clinical data.
· Establish monitoring of data transfers for ongoing trials to identify study conduct or data quality issues.
· Technical documentation in the work assignments.
· Negotiate priorities and resolve requirement conflicts among various stakeholders.
· Follow standards, procedures, and guidelines for abbreviations, acronyms, class words and naming standards and data model reviews.
· Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings using email and presentations.
· Conduct SAS Programming sessions with business users and technical staff, which includes conveying complex ideas both verbally and in written form.
· Conduct technical interviews in the Information Technology environment.
· Gather, assimilate, organize, categorize and analyze business requirements to create corresponding modules of SAS.
· Assist Business Subject Matter Experts and data stewards to review and "scrub" their data in a timely manner and perform data audits, as necessary.
· Assist in creation of document data flow diagrams, and other project deliverables, as requested.
· Assist project team with trouble-shooting of "data issues" as they arise during testing cycles.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Technology or a related discipline, or 4+ years of equivalent experience in Computer Technology is required.
4+ years demonstrated programming experience using SAS, technical product life cycle concepts and requirements engineering) is required.
Experience in the gathering, assimilation, organization, categorization and analysis of business requirements to create corresponding designs of SAS module is required.
SAS Programmer Skills:
Ability to conduct SAS Programming sessions with business users and technical staff, which includes conveying complex ideas both verbally and in written form.
Ability to lead effort to ensure system test data is loaded accurately and in timely manner.
Technical Business Analyst Skills:
Technical interviewing skills in the Information Technology environment.
Communication skills including facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution
Experience in the gathering, assimilation, organization, categorization and analysis of business requirements to create corresponding designs of SAS macro and modules.
Generic Managerial Skills Resource should be quick learner and self-driven; capable of meeting with Business Users and working cross-functionally to define requirements, configure and deploy solutions
Ability to plan and prioritize work effectively to meet defined delivery levels in a customer facing role.
