Solution Consultant

Location- Portland, OR

Duration- 24+ months

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

As a Solution Consultant at Kaiser Permanente you will consult with Business Partners to define requirements and develop solution alternatives and estimates.  You will be required to translate business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions.

•Provide services in supporting the needs and requirements for our KP Claims Connect program and business users.

•Work closely with various stakeholders at all levels within Kaiser Permanente as well as our partner vendors such as Epic..

•Participates in integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies/solutions that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals.

•Lead the review and design concepts for new systems and develop / document the technical design for the integration and implementation of the solution.

•Develops the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements and resource costs. 

•Advises clients on the consequences of actions. Communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client. Provides on-going communication.

•Jointly develops risk assessment of plans with clients.

•Investigate production and non-production errors reported by KP Claims Connect program stakeholders, meeting agreed upon SLAs

 Qualifications:

•10+ years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions.

•Demonstrated ability to design solutions for complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity from initiation, through development and implementation.

•Experience with Business Continuity Planning including understanding of technical configurations and system topologies to support business work flows

•Prior experience in Enterprise suite of application infrastructure including understanding of performance & capacity ramifications from application usage

•Familiarity with data integration across applications in an Enterprise transactional and/or Decision Support system

•Experience working in a matrix environment.
