Position: Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) Developer with Openstack, KVM, OVS

Location: Middletown, NJ

Duration: 6 Months

This position will be part of a large technology transformation initiative for a large Telco customer, and based in New Jersey, USA with requirement of occasional paid business travel within other offices in North America.

Ideal candidate should have deep knowledge and working experience in the field of computer networks and telecom focusing on Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), and Carrier-Grade Cloud infrastructure.

You must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility, with an ability to lead in an emerging technology area.

Specific key skills required for this position include –

Bachelors or equivalent with at least 5 years' experience in Telecom industry

Experience of Requirements, Architecture, Design and Development using/ enhancing open source datacenter solutions and automation

Carrier-grade Cloud software development, administration and deployment (Openstack)

Network Functions Virtualization (Openstack, OVS-DPDK, SAE-SGW/PGW, MME, eNodeB, LTE)

Software-Defined Networking (Openflow, OVS, LINC)

Virtualization (KVM) and Optimizations

Configuration management and Orchestration using puppet

Experience of Agile development

Candidate will also be expected to manage related projects, activities and tasks, lead technical thought leadership discussions with senior client stakeholders, and train additional new resources on these emerging technology areas.
