Key is having VOIP/SIP/Unified Communications and also the routing and switching.

Alpharetta, GA is looking for Sr. Network Engineer for an exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:
- Design and build cutting-edge, multi-vendor voice solutions to support our client's growth worldwide.
- Monitor and maintain performance and capacity of our client voice systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and voice systems support
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task in a high pressure environment
- Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
- 5 years of Systems/Network experience and at least 2 with SIP/VoIP
- Significant experience working with VOIP and SIP
- In-depth knowledge of Unified Communications technologies, including messaging, voice and video technologies.
- UNIX/Linux fundamentals
- Excellent IP networking fundamentals
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause and prevention
- Experience working with telecom carriers turning up and troubleshooting IP and or TDM circuits
- Expertise in many of the following technologies and protocols: BGP, OSPF, SIP, RTP, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS,
- DHCP, T1/E1, Ethernet, firewalls, IT security best practices
- Experience working with an international team a plus
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
