Embedded Developer

San Jose, CA

6-12 Months +

Hiring Mode (TP /FTE): TP / FTE

Max Rate Range: $47/hr –C2C/1099(All Inclusive)

Mandatory Domain: Telecom

Visa: Any

How many level of internal interview (TP1/TP2/Both): 2 rounds (one telephonic, one Telephonic /Skype).

Job Requirements: Engineers with 4+ Yrs Experience for Board/Linux Bring-up & Drivers.
Experience Level: 5-10 year
 BOARD/LINUX BRING-UP & DRIVERS - (C Programming, Linux, board bring up for routers, servers and switches)
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in CS or equivalent experience is required.
Excellent in C programming and debugging via GDB in Linux environments.
Solid understanding of Linux Operating Systems fundamentals and it's bring-up challenges on custom hardware.
Experience in debugging Hardware via tools such as JTAG and ICE is a MUST.
Good understanding of any modern hypervisor and its implementation is an added asset.
Excellent troubleshooting abilities, strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.


Job Description
·         Work very closely with Hardware, Firmware and BIOS teams to design and bring up Linux Kernel and rest of the platform services (based on Intel architecture) on Route Processor and Service Cards.
·         Design and bring up the platform and platform services core code as a separate Virtual Machine running on different Hypervisors
·         Work very closely with Hardware, Hardware Diagnostics team, understand specifications very well and be able to write a functional specification and design specification based on requirements
·         Design, write and test code for generic and custom chipsets for Ethernet, UART, SSD and Fabric.
