Job: Sr. SQL Developer

Job Description:

The Sr. SQL Developer is primarily responsible for designing and developing repeatable ETL processes involving complex data transformations. The Sr. SQL Developer is responsible for implementing data migration projects. Experience in data migration efforts from Equator (SaaS application used in Default Services) is required. The Sr. SQL Developer works in close partnership with Data Architect, developers, business analysts, QA, and reporting teams to drive adherence to the overall data program for application(s) in scope.

Required Skills:

•                    Design and develop SSIS Packages involving complex transformations

•                    Proven ability in data modeling

•                    Expert in TSQL Stored Procedures and Functions

•                    Equipped in SQL performance analysis and tuning

•                    Collaborate with development and architecture to design data access layer for software   application(s) in scope

•                    Committed to process in every development effort to facilitate an easy change management effected across various environments

•                    Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in software development using Microsoft SQL Server  2008 (or above) within the ecommerce or  financial services industry

•                    Minimum 5 years hands on experience in TSQL

•                    Minimum 5 years hands on experience in ETL development

•                    Minimum 3 years of hands on experience in SSIS

•                    Experience in SSRS, SSAS preferred

•                    Experience in database performance tuning

•                    Ability to develop TSQL Stored Procedures, Views, Tables, Indexes, Functions

•                    Excellent trouble-shooting skills

•                    Deep data skills inclusive of data design, database optimization, ETL and data migration

•                    Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment that is frequently changing

Education:

4-year degree required, preferably in a technical field such as math or computer science

Candidates must have at least 5 years prior software development experience with at least 3 years of experience in database design using Microsoft SQL Server (2008 or above) in financial services domain.
