Position- Java Architect/ Developer

Location- Pittsburgh, PA 

Rate - $80- $90/hr.

Duration- 6+ Months

GC/ Citizens Only    

The job holder leads the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. S/he analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems. S/he will be in our "Risk Measure" team building a java cloud-based risk engine system.

Additional key job responsibilities shall include:

•             Interact with business users and understand enterprise risk business requirements, and analyze and come up with optimal technology solutions to business requirements

•             Design/Develop/code end to end technology solutions for BNY enterprise risk business including batch process, calculation engine, database modeling, testing and process automation etc

•             Conduct system analysis and work estimate for new tasks; 

•             Write high level and low level design documents;  Conduct peer code review, and coaching junior team members;

•             Collaborate with other internal or external teams on projects such as sourcing data feed, working with vendors etc.

Qualifications:

•             10+ years' experience of hands-on core Java, SQL;

•             A broad skills set covering programming, database, scripting, system performance, distributed architecture;

•             Experience of working with development of complex large scale systems required,   financial or risk project experience preferred.

•             Knowledge of risk area in financial service industry

•             Working efficiently with our offshore team, strong working ethics;

•             Strong communication skills,  interpersonal skills,  excellent team player
