Job Title: Oracle Developer

Location: Albany NY

Duration: 6+ Month

Job Description:

• Define and implement strategy for DB backups, recovery.
• Create schema objects; define storage parameters, user privileges.
• Set up and review Oracle configuration parameters (excellent understanding on various parameters).
• Continuously and proactively monitor database performance and work with developers to improve the system performance.
• Coordinate with other DBAs, system administrators for the Software upgrades of DBMS or OS. Installation of Oracle patches as needed.
• Coordinate with system administrators for backups, storage and any system maintenance activities.
• Maintenance tasks including debugging, testing, and implementation.
• Develop and/or modify technical and/or design specifications, technical writing and documentation.

Mandatory requirement:

·         You must have experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer- The Authorized User may seek Specialists in the following areas (list is not exhaustive):• Backup and Recovery• Security

·         Must be able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

 Desirable Qualification:

·         84 months experience with Oracle database performance monitoring and tuning, and setting up Oracle configuration parameters.

·         84 Months of experience in Designing and Implementing Information Technology Solutions.

·         84 Months of experience with PL/SQL and Oracle data modeling.

·         72 months configuring and administering Oracle RAC.

·         24 Months experience with databases that interface with the Welfare Management System.

·         24 Months of experience with Visual Studio 2012 IDE.
