Must have Teradata and ERWIN experience
The Data Modeler supports the data management function for the OSI Data Warehouse (DW).
The Data Management team is ultimately responsible for the data model for the OSI DW.
OSI DW is the single Enterprise Data Warehouse at the company. It uses the Teradata Database, with Informatica as the ETL tool, and Business Objects as the primary reporting tool.
The Data Modeler reviews and approves the Logical Data Model proposed by the Business Systems Analysts (BSA).
The Data Modeler then develops the Physical Data Model.
The Data Modeler and the BSA support the DBA in developing the Physical Design (the table DDLs).
The data model should adhere to the OSI DW modeling standards.
The model should be well documented with sufficient and readable metadata.
The data model for OSI DW is an integrated data model, which supports the ability to join data across domains and business organizations.
Additional Job Details:
Must be proficient in SQL
Must have demonstrated experience leading the analysis / design of data models for Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
Must have knowledge of Kimball and Inmon styles of modeling.
Must have exceptional communication skills and a willingness to work iteratively through model development and specifications.
Must be able to come up to speed quickly in a dynamic environment with expectations of delivering to an aggressive project schedule.
Must be adept at data modeling styles, including normalized and dimensional modeling with knowledge of hierarchies.
Nice to Have:
Experience working with outsourced development a plus.
Knowledge of Business Objects and Informatica a plus.
Knowledge of Finance domain a plus.
Knowledge of Mainframe, Oracle, SQL Server and Unix
