Required Experience

·         At least five years of relevant systems software engineering experience

·         Experience building highly scalable and performing web applications (candidate understands considerations for state, session management, caching, consistency, concurrency, and inter-system dependencies)

·         Highly proficient in industry current software development techniques (patterns, principles, and processes)

·         Advanced expertise in REST web services and the underpinnings of developing a highly scalable web service.

·         Aggressive Refactoring 

·         Social skills for interacting in a highly collaborative work environment

Java/J2EE Developer

Location: Denver, CO and Omaha, NE

Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES:

• Java, JBOSS, JDBC, JEE, C++ and Web services

• Data architecture, data extraction, data modeling and integration design.

• Proficiency in Hibernate, data mapping

• UNIX/Linux experience, and scripting skills (shell, Perl, Python, etc.)

• Strong database skills (SQL, MySQL, ORACLE)

• Understanding of TMN, FCAPS, eTOM, and OSS/j standards, is a plus

• Superior problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

• Must possess the flexibility to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Required Experience

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

BS/CS or equivalent experience in enterprise or service provider environments, including Network Management Software tools related to telecom and/or data networking projects.

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications with 7+ years of experience in production software development.

• Relevant experience in lieu of the above degrees will be considered.

• Must have experience working with multiple programming languages.

• Strong application development experience in java and other object-oriented technologies is needed.

• Proven experience in Data Architecture, data processing, data extraction and data modeling

• Web service development and integration

• Experience in the telecommunication industry, and OSS/BSS systems, is desirable.

• UNIX/Linux experience is required.

• Experience in graphical user interface creation and development

• Familiarity with Agile methodology, test-driven development, source control management, and automated testing is required.
