Oracle OBIEE (ETL) ARCHITECT/Subject Matter Expert

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Resource will perform all work onsite at the IBM HIGLAS HOC Linthicum, MD location. Resource will work in a team environment, be willing to work a rotational/on-call schedule, work overtime, evenings and weekends when necessary. A rescheduled work week should also be considered.

Oracle OBIEE ETL Subject Matter Expert to implement OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 with ODI as the ETL tool. Resource will be required to create ODI ETL mappings to replace Informatica ETL mappings, assist with testing, implementation and documentation of the entire OBIEE upgrade. OBIEE Architecture and/or report development experience is desired.

 

Responsibilities (refer to Statement of Work) in order of importance:

Job Duty 1 & 10 %: Implement the upgrade to OBIEE 11.1.1.7.1 with ODI 11.1.1.7.0

Job Duty 2 & 50 %: Remediate gaps and rebuild Custom ETLs using ODI

Job Duty 3 & 10 %: Assisting with merging RPD (custom Metadata) and Webcat (Custom Reports and Dashboards)

Job Duty 4 & 30 %: Executing and tuning full load and incremental loads for AR, GL, FV, CE modules (source is 33 TB)

Basic Skill 1 & Yrs Exp: Experience in OBIEE ETL (Informatica or ODI) – 5 years

Basic Skill 2 & Yrs Exp: Experience with ODI as the ETL tool – 2 years

Basic Skill 3 & Yrs Exp: 3+ years of hands on experience with OBIEE, BI Apps, DAC and Informatica

Basic Skill 4 & Yrs Exp: At least one implementation experience of BI Apps with Oracle Financials R12.2.x

Basic Skill 5 & Yrs Exp: 3+ years of troubleshooting and fine tuning ETL Loads

 

Preferred Skill 1 & Yrs Exp: At least one implementation experience of BI Apps with Oracle Receivables, Payables or General Ledger modules within Oracle eBusiness Suite R12.2.x

Preferred Skill 2 & Yrs Exp: Functional knowledge of Oracle Financials modules R12.2.x is a big plus.

Explanation for Position:

BIA contract programmer needed for Residential Commercial Enhancement project.

Accurate address validation and classification allows UPS to collect for services based on the type of delivery.

The classification of an address as a residence or commercial site calls into play a

variety of business rules that govern service provider actions (signature

requirements, driver release, redirects, etc.) and billing (collections of address

classification accessories or other specific service-based charges). Fine tuning of

these business rules, particularly as they relate to residential/commercial address

classification could reduce the number of customer investigations.

 

Details of Position:

Support the development of business requirements and program specifications;

Assist in the creation of project timelines; Work closely with management team to

design application flow; Create and maintain various web applications; Design and

implement database scheme and process flow; Develop, analyze and execute

system test plans; Work closely with QA group to maintain application accuracy;

Analyze UPS data to determine necessary data constraints; Analyze various web

based applications for performance related issues; Take full ownership of

applications as it relates to automating production posting cycles and

communicating with the various stakeholders; Bachelor's degree in Computer

Science, Mgmt. Information Systems, Mathematics or related discipline; 3-5 years

technical expertise in web applications development in ASP.NET/C#; Expertise in

web technologies - JavaScript, JavaScript Frameworks (Ext JS, jQuery), XML,

AJAX, CSS2

 

Management Skills:

Administration setup and optimization; Expertise in web services, IFrames,

performance optimization, file manipulation, exception handling, shared libraries;

5-8 years of experience in systems analysis, applications development and

systems architecture; A minimum 5+ years of T-SQL experience - performance

tuning, DTS, stored procedures, triggers, views; Significant experience in the

following technologies a PLUS - MVC 4, Web API, REST, JSON.NET, JSON
