Position:   Cognos BI

Location:  New York City, NY
Duration:  6+ months

Job Description:

Strong hands on Cognos 10 developer to clean up existing reports and design, develop new reports in Cognos 10 platform. Good PL-SQL knowledge and ETL knowledge required. The Cognos Developer will be responsible for the solution using Informatica Business Intelligence (BI) tools to perform database warehouse design and planning. Must Support Dative and Rational Report Development using Cognos 10. The Cognos Developer/Oracle (DW) Developer must have experience with data warehousing concepts such as data modeling, data quality, Cognos and Extract Transform Load (ETL), understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) working with dimensional models, analytics and reporting, working with Entity Relational Models and Dimensional Models, and working with Cognos framework administration and reports development. In addition, the Cognos Developer will be responsible for data analysis, gather/analyze requirements, define functional and data requirements, develop and maintain solution with use of Oracle Web PL/SQL and Cognos development tools, use programming languages such as PL/SQL and Integrated Development Environment (IDE) performance troubleshooting and optimization for large database (DB) and SQL query tuning, use software development life cycle management processes and tools to implement deploy the solution, provide support to other related issues as needed.

Skill and Experience Details:

Minimum Experience Required: 5-8 YEARS Mandatory Skills: Cognos BI Unix Shell Scripting, DWH-Business Intelligence, Business Intelligence, OLAP Desirable Skills: Cognos Framework Manager, PL-SQL Language Skills: English Language
