LABOR CATEGORY:             Project Consultant

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:    Oracle Financials (eBS) DataBase Administrator (LABOR CATEGORY)

BACKGROUND:                      ASAP, and our business partners, will migrate Oracle eBusiness Suite application from Sun Solaris to Linux.

REQUIREMENTS:

Oracle Financial Database Administrator shall:

·              Participate with the ASAP team in the software development life cycle for Oracle Financials,

·              Migrate Oracle database, APPLTOP, Technology stack of Oracle Financial 12i from Sun to Linux 

·              Install and upgrade and test various components of Oracle E-Business Suite

·              Apply Quarterly CPU's, Family packs and one off patches to databases and applications.

·              Understand and implement Oracle's Fusion Architecture wherever applicable on per need basis.

·              Understand and implement best practices for Oracle database and application.

·              Provide administration, maintenance and migrations for Oracle databases.

·              Strong skills in how to secure database and applications.

·              Provide back-up and recovery services for Oracle databases and applications.

·              Understand Oracle database and application architecture to provide performance tuning services when needed.

·              Clone Oracle databases and applications.

·              Troubleshoot database and application issues, when coming from the DBA and application DBA areas.

·              Understand disaster recovery principles and performing disaster recovery when applicable.

·              Participate and provide expertise in system capacity planning efforts.

·              Write UNIX shell programs to automate DBA tasks.

·              Develop solutions with team members to implement previously defined and documented requirements

DELIVERABLES:

·                 Convert one EBS environment from Sun to Linux

·                Test the EBS environment

·                Create document for the migration

·                Convert development environment to Linux

·                Modify 2-3 shell scripts for the new environments

·                Support the development team

·                Prototype the disaster recovery procedure

·                Work with other database tools for the EBS environments
