Position: Linux Lead-Administrator
Duration: 6 Months
Location: San Jose, CA
Job Description/Skills Required:
In depth understanding of server-based operating system;
kernel configurations, understands system designs and hardware configurations.
Can provide supervision to junior associates.
Works under the general supervision of a project lead or system administrator manager.
o Working knowledge of Vmware ESX 4.x; ESXi o Skilled in Redhat Linux 4x, 5x (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt)
o Working knowledge of hpux 11.1, 11.2 (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt)
o SAN storage technologies (like rdf, snaps, etc) preferably with EMC will be plus
o sound volume management skills preferably hp lvm will be plus
o clustering experience: HP MC/SG, GFS, Veritas Clustering and Oracle RAC on Linux
o Basic level scripting (either shell or perl should be fine) but should be capable of understanding other shell scripts
