We have an urgent requirement for " SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR " consultants with one of my clients. Please find the details of the position given below.

 

Position:                      SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR  Consultant

Location:                     San Jose, CA

Duration:                     6 Months with possibility of Extension

Rate:                           Best $/Hr All Inclusive

Start Date:                   ASAP

Positions:                     One

 

Job Requirements

ü  In depth understanding of server-based operating system; kernel configurations, understands system designs and hardware configurations.

ü  Can provide supervision to junior associates.

ü  Works under the general supervision of a project lead or system administrator manager.

ü  Working knowledge of Vmware ESX 4.x; ESXi

ü  Skilled in Redhat Linux 4x, 5x (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt)

ü  Working knowledge of hpux 11.1, 11.2 (networking, kernel param & tuning, trouble shooting system & perf issues, pkg mgmt, patch mgmt)

ü  SAN storage technologies (like rdf, snaps, etc) preferably with EMC will be plus

ü  Sound volume management skills preferably hp lvm will be plus

ü  Clustering experience: HP MC/SG, GFS, Veritas Clustering and Oracle RAC on Linux

ü  Basic level scripting (either shell or perl should be fine) but should be capable of understanding other shell scripts
