Data Modeler / Teradata DBA

Location:      Columbus, OH area

Duration:      4+ months

Start:              ASAP

Status:           USC / GC / EAD

MUST HAVES:
1. Communication
2. Data modeling
3. Experience in Teradata is preferred

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Solid communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Candidate should have in depth understanding of data warehousing, database design, data architecture, master data management, ODS, OLTP and data integration concepts.

Candidate should be highly proficient in data modeling skills creating Conceptual, Logical and Physical models for OLTP and analytical systems.

Expertise in data modeling tools like Power Designer and Erwin.

Strong experience in Kimball and Inmon Data Warehouse design methodologies.

Previous experience as DBA in Teradata with special emphasis on database design and performance tuning.

Drive reuse of data models at all levels.

Works with Information Architects on patterns for Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Advanced Analytics.

Assists in defining the reference architecture and proof of concept projects for new data warehousing technology and techniques.

SKILLS:
Data Modeling Skills (star, 3NF and canonical) Data Warehousing skills including active and advanced analytics

At least Bachelor's degree
