The client is looking for a
Expert in Business Intelligence applications,as a developer, inCognosTools such as Framework manager, Analysis Studio, Powerplay Studio, Report studio, Event Studio, Query studio, Transformer
Strong in Transformer for Data Modeling of Multidimensional Cubes using Star Schema
Designing and implementing OLAP cubes, dashboards, reports, framework models and report definitions
Establishes and enforces data warehousing standards to meet IT requirements and business needs
Evaluates existing subject areas stored in the data warehouse and collaborates with the architects on best practices
Assists in several components of the overall architecture of the data warehouse system
Extensively worked with large databases in production environments
Documents tasks for end-user, technical, and managerial review to ensure high quality
Analyzing end user requirements, and based on findings, designing report mock-ups specifications and production reports
Assisting in troubleshooting post-production performance issues with end user report queries
Working with various IT teams to analyze data in the data warehouse, data mart or operational systems
Mentor & train other report developers

8 + years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, Enterprise Data Warehousing, OLAP, Report Generating Systems, Multi-Dimensional Cubes, relational models as well as complex reports
5+ years of experience in Cognosdata solutions
5 + years of experience in Framework manager, Transformer, Query Studio, Reporting Studio, Event Studio
5 + years creating and executing SQL queries (Oracle preferred) within relational and star schema databases for analysis, problem solving and evaluating data quality/validity. Ability to create tables/views/stored procedures and validate the reports against the database by writing SQL queries
3+ years of experience being able to map design documents and solutions that match the business requirements.
Knowledge in promoting the code across environments (development to test to production)
Knowledge in creating the test cases and executing the test cases
Extensively worked on bursting reports to email addresses or shared drives
Extensively worked on FrameWork Modeling usingCognos proven practices
Extensively worked in a shared environment and knowledge in using version controlling tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills, regularly and effectively with team members
Proactively engages team members in problem solving
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio and Outlook required
