Senior DW Oracle   - Lead Developer

 

 

Work Summary

The Data Warehouse Programmer/Analyst – Lead – provides technical expertise to the development and implementation of solutions using basic dimensional modeling techniques.  The incumbent provides business expertise of the development of Business Intelligence solutions, technical support for existing Data warehouse ETL processes and makes recommendations for improvements in these areas, if necessary.

 

 

 

 Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

 

 

Experience:  The ideal candidate must have at least 8 – 10 years of experience in IT or a related field. The candidate must have 5+ years of applicable Data Warehouse experience and Oracle programming tools.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      ·        Must have extensive knowledge in Oracle database programming

      skills with Oracle and PL/SQL

      ·        Must have extensive technical skills in Linux environment

      ·        Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting

      ·        Must have strong analytical skills to define functional

      requirements

      ·        Must have experience with Data Warehouse implementations and

      ETL skills

      ·        Autosys Job Scheduler

      ·        Linux Sync sort

      ·        Follow Change Control concepts and policies

      ·        Ability to work with offsite Vendor Technical Support for

      problem resolution

      ·        Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively,

      both verbally and in writing

      ·        Ability to work well with people from many different

      disciplines with varying degrees of technical expertise

      ·        Microsoft SSIS knowledge a plus
