Position: Senior Sharepoint Developer

Location: Bridgewater, NJ or New York City

Duration: 3-6 Months

Job Description:

Qualifications:

Skills in the following technologies are required for this role: 

• Extensive experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Version including SPS 2010,  Windows SharePoint Services, SharePoint Web Part Development
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010, C#, XML, XAML, XSLT, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript (including Jquery), CSS 2/3, .NET Framework (2.0 - 3.5)
• Basic knowledge of SQL
• Operating Systems (Client):  Windows 7, WindowsXP, Mac OS X;   Operating Systems (Server):  Windows 2003 SP2, Windows 2008 {ipad included} 
• Browsers:  IE 7/8/9, Safari 3.x+, Firefox 3.x+
• SPDesigner 2008/2010
• Web part development, including SharePoint web parts, Silverlight, custom controls, etc.
• Web Services
• Microsoft Infopath, Visio, Project, and Access 2007/2010
• PowerShell
• Active Directory
• Knowledge of disaster recovery solutions for SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

• Translating business and technical requirements into application systems.  Devising or modifying procedures to solve problems and codes programs based on that design. In cooperation with project managers, establishes schedule estimates for implementing proposed applications and systems.
• Leading and/or participating in project planning sessions with clients and team members to analyze requirements and design systems.  Demonstrating knowledge of the relevant architecture and information systems.
• Defining and developing the project scope of application projects with assistance from the project team.
• Overseeing projects (in a team lead role) related to the development of information systems.  May develop or modify complex software systems using disciplined software development processes.
• Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging application development tools and technologies. Works with third-party contractors and consultants to ensure that intranet & extranet SharePoint web applications and services meet contract specifications and satisfy Company standards.

Professional and Education Experience Requirements:  

• Bachelor's Degree in programming/systems or computer science, specialized training, Microsoft certification, or equivalent work experience required.
• Microsoft Certified SharePoint Developer (not required, but preferred)
• 5-7 years applications development and support experience including 3-5 years practical experience developing for SharePoint 2007/2010 solutions. 
• Well versed in the SharePoint object model,  the .NET framework 2.0 and up, general web technologies including a detailed
• MUST have excellent verbal and written communication skills
