MVS Developer

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• 4-6 years previous experience as MVS application developer                                                                                                                  

• 2-4 years previous experience working independently in an on call production support environment  
• 4-6 years of experience in MVS (Z/OS)/ISPF                                                                                                                                                                 

• 4-6 years of experience in JCL          
• Experience in ESP Scheduling                                                                                                                                                                                      

• Experience in DB2                                                                                                                                                                                                              

• (optional) Knowledge of Assembler, PL/I, SAS       
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Effective written and communication skills

Roles and responsibility

•         Assist in design and development of applications in MVS and related technologies for Axess and Worldspan Cores.
•         Performs problem/task isolation, analysis, research and resolution of moderate complexity with minimum assistance.
•         Deploy and support applications
•         Provide maintenance and production support for all applications in the Axess and Worldspan (GDS) production environment,  including investigation/research, coding, testing, scheduling and implementing RC resolutions
•         Perform testing/debugging of applications.
•         Lead all TSR efforts related to Axess Fixed Release Cycle
•         Liaise directly with Axess team on all Axess(GDS) related issues

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

• Experience on Travel/GDS/Airline  domain will be benificial                                                                                                                                                   

• Experience on Assembler, PL/I, SAS
