Position: Sr. Hadoop Developer (SAS and Java Must Have)

Location- Atlanta, GA

Duration- 6-12 Months Contract

Rate- $70/hr on c2c

Looking for a very senior level Java Engineer for their GRS project team.  Prefer the engineer to have experience with SAS to complete big data analytics on an enterprise, fast paced environment.  Advanced SAS experience would be nice to have to help generate forecasting models.  Experience developing, creating and modifying general computer applications is a must and also responsible for designing software or customizing software for client use with the aim of optimizing operations efficiency.  The candidate will be interfacing with the internal clients not the guest facing applications.  If the candidate doesn't have SAS experience then other Big Data analytics on an enterprise level will work.  

Requirements:

•         Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills

•         Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback

•         Significant experience with SAS

•         Really prefer someone who has an agile background.

Notes from HM:

•             SAS – Advance modeling tool – help hotels generate forecast.  They are generating cost for hotel rooms in the future.  GRS will fund a new forecasting engine which is the SAS Server.

•             What is working knowledge of SAS? Understand how to production analyst SAS library's – algorithms and what to do to call it, make changes to it, how to get a scientific algorithm back in to make pricing decisions.  How do the Library's work!

•             Will be doing design and architecture in this role - they are expecting the Sr. resource to take care of the architecture.
